Thurgood Marshall, the director of the NAACP’s Legal Defense and Education Fund, argued before the U.S. Supreme Court in Brown v. Board of Education along with several other noted African American attorneys, such as Robert Carter and Spottswood Robinson III. It was one of 29 decisions that Marshall won before the U.S. Supreme Court. In 1967, President Lyndon B.
