What did Buchanan do after graduating from college?

After graduation, Buchanan studied law under attorney James Hopkins in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Hopkins was considered the best lawyer in Lancaster. Buchanan studied under Hopkins for two year and a half years. In 1813, Buchanan received admission to the Pennsylvania bar.
