Was Buchanan homosexual? |
He may have been. Some historians have pointed out that Buchanan lived for more than twenty years with William Rufus King, who later served a short time as Franklin Pierce’s vice president. Some referred to Buchanan and King as “Siamese twins” and Andrew Jackson referred to King as “Miss Nancy.” Another politician once referred to King as “Mrs. B.” However, there is no conclusive proof as to Buchanan’s sexual orientation.
