Who were the Inca mythological heroes?

The heroes of Inca mythology were culture heroes such as the first Inca and his wife—the beings sent by the gods to teach the people the proper and fruitful ways to live. The Inca people, who for so long resisted the dominance of the conquistadors, are themselves seen as heroes by their descendants.
