What is the Kojiki?

The Kojiki (Record of Ancient Matters) was composed in 711–712 C.E. by Ono Yasumaro, under the patronage of the Empress Gemmei. It contains myths of the Shinto gods and the creation of Japan and is written in a form of classical Chinese.
