Central Asian Themes and Gods

Is there a consistent Central Asian mythic cosmology?

There are several Central Asian visions of the makeup of the universe. One of the most common is the belief in an egg-like structure in three parts: an Underworld; a middle world, where we live; and an upper world. The three worlds are built along the axis tree, at the base of which sits the Great Goddess. The sun and the moon sit at the top of the tree and in its branches are found the souls of the as yet unborn.
