How were humans created? |
Some say that humans were born of the spit of deities or that they were transformed from plants or animals. More widespread is the myth of the Great Goddess Nuwa’s molding them from clay. It is believed by some that the molding process drained Nuwa’s strength and that after she molded the upper classes, she dragged a rope through the mud and then shook it, the droppings off the rope forming the common people.
