How do you divide polynomials?

To divide a polynomial by a monomial, divide each term in the polynomial by the monomial (to divide monomials, we divide the coefficients and then subtract the exponents) or:

(A + B + C)/M = A/M + B/M + C/M

For example, to solve the equation

10x5/2x3 = (10/2) (x5-3) = 5x2
