The Queen of Sheba was—well, the Queen of Sheba. Sheba was located in what is now Yemen. According to the Bible, the queen visited Solomon because she wanted to see whether Solomon was really as wise as his reputation suggested. The queen came to Jerusalem “with a large group of attendants and a great caravan of camels loaded with spices, huge quantities of gold and precious jewels. When she met with Solomon, they talked about everything she had on her mind.” (NLT, I Kings 10:2) Solomon answered all of the queen’s questions. She was impressed greatly with his wisdom and wealth.
