Who was Mephibosheth?

Mephibosheth was Saul’s youngest son. He was five years old when his father died. When news of Saul’s death reached his family, they were afraid they would be killed, too. Mephibosheth’s nurse scooped him up and fled. In her haste, the nurse dropped the boy, who became lame in both feet.
