God asked Solomon, “Ask what I shall give thee.” (KJV, I Kings 3:5) Solomon replied, “Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?” (KJV, I Kings 3:9) God was pleased with Solomon’s answer. In addition to wisdom, God gave him riches and honor as well.
