What did David do when he found out Bathsheba was pregnant?

There was no way the baby could be Uriah’s. Uriah was off fighting in David’s army. So David arranged for Uriah to come home for a break. David assumed that Uriah would sleep with his wife, but Uriah did not. Instead, Uriah slept on David’s doorstep. Uriah explained that he could not in good conscience go sleep in his comfortable home with his beautiful wife when the rest of the army was camping in the open fields.
