During the season of sheepshearing, a time of celebration, Absalom had Amnon killed. After that, Absalom fled to a neighboring kingdom where he stayed for about three years. David missed Absalom, and longed for him to come back. After a few years, Absalom went back to Jerusalem, and was welcomed by David.
