What is Hinduism?

With its roots in the culture of the Indus Valley, Hinduism is not a monolithic religion, but a name that encompasses diverse groups who worship many different gods and goddesses with multifaceted attributes. One major unifying element of Hinduism is adherence to the Vedas, ancient works of literature that serve as the foundation of the Hindu religion.
