Are there medical benefits to circumcision?

Circumcision is the removal of the foreskin of the penis. The foreskin is the skin that covers the end of the penis. Medical research has not found significant evidence of medical benefits from circumcision. One benefit is fewer urinary tract infections in infants. Some studies have shown that circumcision reduces the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. However, it is negligible compared to other behaviors that reduce the risk of sexually transmitted diseases.
